Muppets!

This friday we made ourselves as Muppets to celebrate the UK release of the The Muppets! FINALLY! THREE MONTHS AFTER THE US?? C'mon, it's 2012!

This lead to this conversation:

A: So what did you do today?
B: Oh! I made a muppet of myself!
A: Oh no! What did you do?
B: Huh? I made a muppet of myself?
A: But.. what did you do?
B: No..I really made a muppet of myself. Literally.

We've decided to something quick and fun for its own sake every weekend. This was the first thing we decided to do. We have sore, dry faces now.

Birdy Boy

It's cold and miserable, so we felt the need to post this. Another shot of the beautiful Valon by our friend Claudiu, featuring nonsense by Die Mortal and sense by Stiaan Louw.

"Renowned South African designer Stiaan Louw has teamed up with London-based photographer Claudiu Balaceanu to showcase his s/s 2012 collection in a new and eccentric light.

Using masks and props from Die Mortal, they combined the ethnicity of South Africa and the eccentricity of London with a Scandinavian tone, using Valon Kaba as the face."

We Have Band - Where Are Your People

The We Have Band promo we worked on for director Alex Turvey is out! This was one of the most difficult jobs we've ever taken on - full life size body casts of all three members then made in paraffin wax. It was an absolute NIGHTMARE to cast - candle wax is so fragile, brittle and crumbly. Every time we moved the bodies they shattered into loads of pieces. Much blood, sweat and tears (all literal) went into making these - but the final video looks amazing and it was a great team to work with. The making of video by Owen Richards is also an incredible insight into how much everyone was working to make this one happen! We have some photos of the bodies that I'll post soon from the few days we were too stressed to let the making of be filmed! Just need to photoshop out our eye bags and the despair on our faces! xxx
